What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage or pixels) may serve comparable purposes. Cookies can be “session” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” (remain until they expire or you delete them).
First-party cookies are set by ScareTicket. Third-party cookies are set by services we use (for example, payment or embedded status widgets). This policy describes our use; third parties have their own policies for their cookies.
How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
Essential
These are necessary to operate the Services, including maintaining checkout sessions, securing requests, remembering preferences required for a transaction, and delivering tickets or order access. Without them, some features may not work.
Analytics
We use privacy-oriented analytics (Fathom) to understand aggregate traffic and usage on our sites. Fathom is designed not to use tracking cookies for visitors; it may still process technical data such as page views and referrer information. See Fathom’s documentation for details.
Third-Party Embedded Services
Some pages embed third-party content that may set its own cookies or similar technologies, including:
- Stripe — when you complete payment, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies required for fraud prevention and checkout (see Stripe’s policies);
- Instatus — our status embed may use cookies or local storage for display purposes;
- Front — support forms submitted through Front are governed by Front’s policies when you interact with those forms.
We do not use targeting or advertising cookies on scareticket.com.
Your Choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from completing purchases or accessing orders. To opt out of analytics on sites using Fathom, follow instructions provided by Fathom or use browser privacy settings.
